Gunn takes over as the head coach of a program that is 79-22 over the last eight years and won the TAPPS Division II state title in 2015. A group of 14 seniors is led by first-team all-state QB Tyler Knoop, who is committed to Brown. He threw for 2,627 yards and 30 touchdowns and ran for 894 yards and 14 touchdowns. Isaiah Diggs transferred in from Colleyville Covenant, where he was a second-team all-state running back in 2016. Patton Polk, who was an honorable mention all-state linebacker, will play running back and safety.
