Being a Cardinal impacts the entire family. We have exciting, memory-making events taking place all the time and hope you will join us! See below for a brief description of some of our favorite annual events.

This first day of school opportunity is not only a social event, but a chance to get specific information by group and sign up to volunteer at FWC. Located in the Campus Center, right after student drop off, join us for a cup of coffee and a special gift. Everyone is excited about the new school year and to learn how to be involved.
This year, we will kick off the week on Monday evening, with a parade starting at the Centerpoint Church and ending at the Cardinal Gym. High school students dress up in pre-determined themed costumes each day of the week and wear a special class shirt on Friday. Mums and garters are very BIG and popular in the state of Texas. Some students in the past have chosen to forego the expense and even donate a mum/garter or money to a worthy cause. Middle school students are allowed to wear mums/garters to the game, but not to class during the school day. Before spending money on your student's (or their date's) mum/garter, we encourage you to discuss it as a family and plan ahead. On gameday, we have a pep rally in the Cardinal Gym in the afternoon and then the game in the evening. We welcome everyone to attend these events and look forward to seeing our alumni!
Held the Friday before Thanksgiving break, Grandparents’ Day is a day of honoring our wonderful and devoted grandparents. Many travel from far away to attend and be a part of this special occasion. Students are released after the assembly and many enjoy going to lunch or spending the rest of the day with their families.
An annual event full of fun, great food, incredible trips, gift baskets, and unique experiences! It usually contains a silent auction, dinner, and an entertaining live auction. Table sponsorships are available as well as individual tickets which are sold in advance. All proceeds benefit FWC students.

FWC Auction - November 4, 2017
Who says field trips are for students? Join other FWC moms on a trip to "First Monday Trade Days" in Canton, TX. We leave from the Administration Building promptly at 8am for a full day of shopping followed by dinner at Carmona's in Terrell. Arrival back at FWC is approximately 8pm. You won't want to miss this exciting chance to bond with other moms while taking care of your holiday shopping.
Organized by our PTF and held on the elementary playground, our carnival contains various booths of fun and games! Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the event. Many middle and high school students volunteer to earn community service hours and some join in on the fun! This is a great way for parents and students to connect and enjoy getting to know other families.
Formal, off-campus event held for juniors and seniors each Spring consisting of dinner, a dance, and the crowning of Prom King and Queen.
Historically one banquet for middle school and one for high school are held at the end of the school year to honor and recognize our athletes.
High school seniors are honored at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. We use this facility to ensure there is adequate seating for our entire graduating class, any underclassmen that would like to attend, all of our faculty and staff, and as many friends and relatives that would like to join us for the celebration. Because our class size averages between 80 and 100 students, we are able to recognize each student individually. Everyone also enjoys the slide show at the conclusion of the evening.
